Join us for the launch event of our newly revamped
and updated Health Issues In the Community course
for young people.

1pm-3:30pm on 9th October
Byres Community Hub in the Clarice Pears Building
Glasgow University

Health Issues in the Community (HIIC) is a course that helps people understand what affects their health and the health of their communities.

The young people’s version of the course is an engaging, interactive experience, which supports young people to develop skills in critical thinking, and gain a broad understanding of health inequalities, power and social justice issues, and community development approaches to health and wellbeing - and how they can use these to make real change happen in their communities.

The new course was refreshed and updated in partnership with HIIC tutors and participants from previous courses, who will be sharing their experiences at the event. There will also be time for discussion and networking in the community space.

Come along and join us for what will be an informative and fun event!
