We feel our strength is being able to bring together the people and organisations, from across Scotland and across sectors, who are committed to community-led approaches to tackling health inequalities.

Through all our work we support the sharing of learning and good practice, encourage and facilitate peer support, and aim to generate conversation, ideas and discussion on the important and topical issues affecting community-led health.

Learning from our network and sharing good practice

Our Head of Programme, Sarah Boath, has recently completed a series of engagement meetings to find out from you about the current issues facing organisations in the CHEX network and the wider voluntary and public sector engaged in community-led health. We’re working to put this learning into practice so we can support our network better and focus on what you’ve said is really important.

The CHEX team like to get out the office when we can to visit organisations in our network and see all the brilliant work that they are doing to improve people's health and wellbeing in their area. We’re always looking for case studies of community-led health to highlight in Snippets and online, so do get in touch if you’d like to share your work.

If you have identified pressing issues or concerns at a local level, or you have some innovative ideas and learning that you would like to share through the CHEX network, get in touch.

You can also amplify your organisation’s voice by contributing to our response to consultations and calls for views. Look out for opportunities to get involved in Snippets or check our latest news articles for any open calls for contribution.

Our events

Our annual conference is also a great way to get involved in the community-led health conversation and the resources from recent conferences are available for you to browse through:

Now more than ever: CHEX National Conference 2024
A way to the better: CHEX National Conference 2023
Healthy Minds, Healthy Communities: CHEX National Conference 2022

We’re also planning to develop our events and bring you more regular opportunities to get together in the future, so keep an eye out!
