Have your say: the Scottish Parliament’s call for views on third sector funding

As part of pre-budget 2025-26 scrutiny, the Social Justice and Social Security Committee wants to examine how the Scottish Government’s approach to fair and efficient funding can contribute to the continued effectiveness of the third sector.

This call for views is an important way for third-sector organisations to raise concerns and join the conversation about funding in our sector.

Building on the feedback from the recent CHEX network engagement, SCDC are preparing an response. Our survey found a working environment where community-led health organisations felt overwhelmed by the level of demand, and the lack of resource, with resources taken up by frontline delivery and meeting acute need rather than longer-term planning.

If you are a third sector/community organisation and you’d like to contribute to the response, you can fill in our short survey by 9th August.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, you can email Sarah Boath.
