Getting in on the Act in Dumfries and Galloway
/CHEX is working in partnership with Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway to run two free workshops on the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act for local community organisations.
The first workshop will take place in Stranraer on Wednesday 25th March 2020, 1pm-4pm. Click to find more details and book a place

The workshops wil be a chance to find out what the Act contains and how to make use of it. Community organisations and other groups they work with can make use of the Act in order to take forward the sorts of things they want to do.
As well as providing a general overview, the workshop will introduce you to:
• How to make a participation request to have discussions with public bodies about improving services
• Asset transfer requests and community right to buy land and buildings
• Requirements under the Act for community planning partnerships
