Be part of this year's Community Wellbeing Exchange!

Note: the deadline has now passed - apologies to anyone who was directed here by the latest edition of our CHEXPoint Snippets newsletter.

Social Enterprise Scotland, SCHW and CHEX are delighted to be collaborating this year on the Community Wellbeing Exchange, following the success of previous years supporting community organisations to address mental health & wellbeing needs within their local community.

Community Wellbeing Exchange aims to help address ongoing mental health and wellbeing challenges faced within local communities. Community organsations, including those in CHEX’s network, are invited to express interest in taking part.

The programme is funded through Scottish Community Alliance’s Pockets and Prospects fund.

It will enable 20 community organisations (6 from CHEX’s network) across Scotland to purchase a wide range of mental health & wellbeing focused activities and services supplied by social enterprises and third sector organisations.  Community organisations will have access to £1k to buy in mental health & wellbeing focused activities or services until the end of March 2023.

The purpose of this is to support community organisations in addressing emerging mental health & wellbeing needs within their community. The funding can also be used to purchase activities which support the mental health & wellbeing of staff and volunteers.

In previous years, the programme has led to a number of positive outcomes for organisations and communities. Read the report from the 2020-21 programme here.

Note: community organisations who took part in the programme in previous years are welcome to express interest, although priority will be given to organisations who were not involved last year.

How to get involved

To express interest* please tell us in no more than 500 words why your organisation would like to be considered.

*Please note - the deadline has now passed and no new expressions of interest will be considered.

We will be selecting community-led health organisations representing a diverse range of communities to take part. The pilot also aims to address need where organisations are unable to provide this themselves and this will be a further consideration when selecting participating organisations.

Please let us know by Monday 31st October 2022.

What’s involved as a pilot participant?

If you take part, it is likely you will do the following:

  • Identify a lead point of contact for project communications.

  • Browse the Menu of activities & services and explore what you want to access.

  • We’ll connect you with the suppliers you’re interested in so you can discuss local requirements and schedule activity.

  • Activity takes place as agreed between you and the supplier, ideally before 1st April 2023, but flexibility should be offered where activities have been booked in advance.

  • Submit feedback on activities accessed.
