Community Wellbeing Exchange/ Pockets and Prospects sign-up
/Collaborating to address the mental health & wellbeing challenges in Scotland’s communities.
SENScot, SCHW and CHEX are collaborating for a second year on a project to address the mental health and wellbeing challenges faced within local communities as a result of Covid-19, and are inviting community organisations to express interest in taking part.
The programme is funded through Scottish Community Alliance’s Pockets and Prospects fund.
It will enable 20 community organisations across Scotland to purchase a wide range of mental health & wellbeing focused activities and services supplied by social enterprises and third sector organisations.
The purpose of this is to support community organisations in addressing emerging mental health & wellbeing needs within their community. The funding can also be used to purchase activities which support the mental health & wellbeing of staff and volunteers.
Last year’s programme led to a number of positive outcomes for organisations and communities. Read the report form last year’s programme here.
The partners are inviting expressions of interest from organisations in their networks who are interested in participating in the pilot. This year, community organisation will have access to £1k to buy in mental health & wellbeing focused activities or services from until the end of May 2022.
Note: community organisations who took part in year’s programme are welcome to express interest, although priority will be given to organisations who were not involved last year.
How to get involved
To express interest please tell us in no more than 500 words why your organisation would like to be considered.
We will be selecting community-led health organisations representing a diverse range of communities to take part. The pilot also aims to address need where organisations are unable to provide this themselves and this will be a further consideration when selecting participating organisations.
Please let us know by Friday 14th January 2022.
